Starr gets Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nod Monday, September 3 Beatles drummer Ringo Starr is being lined up for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, say reports. Starr is the only Beatle currently not recognised for his solo material in the museum. The Hall of Fame, based in Cleveland, celebrates artists who have made a huge impact on the world of music, featuring the likes of Prince, Elvis and Bruce Springsteen. A museum insider is quoted as saying: "Ringo's work as a solo artist has never been taken as seriously as the other ex-Beatles but he's actually enjoyed a lot of success in his own right, particularly in America. "It's hard to imagine but there was even a point in the '70s when his records were briefly outselling those of John, George and Paul." They added: "Having you own place in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is generally considered to be one of the biggest honours a musician can have. Ringo is now among the favourites to be inducted next year."
