His father Buster Pearson, who used to manage the group, is alleged to have told his oldest son that he had a gun and was planning to shoot him. The door of Stedman's home in Hammersmith, West London, has been kicked down and he has moved to a safe location. Advertisement A source close to the singer said: "Sted is terrified. His father rang him on his mobile phone at lunchtime on Sunday and told him he had a gun and wanted to shoot him. "Stedman is moving on with his life but his father finds that very difficult to handle and is basically a very angry man." A Metropolitan Police spokesman said: "We were notified on July 27 of an allegation of threats to kill. Officers from CID are investigating." Five Star had a string of hits in the 80s including System Addict and The Slightest Touch.
