Rock legends Van Halen have announced a tour of America, which will see front man Dave Lee Roth playing with the band for the first time in 22 years.
The band will include original members Eddie Van Halen, Alex Van Halen, Roth and the new addition of Eddie's 16-year-old son Wolfgang on bass.
Talking about reuniting with his old band mates, Roth said: "It's a new band with a new sound and new energy from Wolfgang, but we'll play songs you know."
On the prospect of their being new material, the singer commented: "We're already plotting and planning. This is not like The Police. The idea is that it will continue on and on."
Previous attempts at a reformation of the group had to be abandoned due to guitarist Eddie Van Halen's difficulties with substance addiction.
The '80s 'Jump' rockers are heading out on a 24 date tour of the US this autumn
