Alex James: 'Blur reuniting next week' Thursday, September 27 2007
Alex James has revealed that Blur have arranged to reunite next week for the first time since guitarist Graham Coxon quit the group five years ago.
The bassist for the band admitted during an interview on new Channel 4 talent show MobileACT that all four members of the hit '90s group are due to meet up for lunch after the weekend.
James told Gigwise: "We are having lunch on Monday which is nice, I’m not sure where. If we can all agree on where to have lunch that will be a very good start."
When asked about the possibility of reforming and making music with Blur again, he commented: "God knows, God knows, but (lunch) will be the first time the four of us have met for a good few years.
"I don’t think we’d do that reforming and playing ‘Parklife’ anymore, I don’t know if Damon (Albarn) and Graham would be up for that. Mind you it’s a good song…what the f**k."
