Phil Coulter will bring Tranquillity to the Royal Theatre
The original Tranquillity album by Phil Coulter sold in excess of 300,000, a phenomenal amount of sales for the Irish market. To celebrate 20 years since its release and the success of the new Tranquillity 20 album Phil Coulter will perform the orchestral concerts covering his career and the success of his work. Coulter is bringing this tour to the Royal Theatre Castlebar, this Saturday night October 20 in assocation with the Mayo Advertiser.
This will be Phil’s first time in over ten years to tour with an orchestra. His shows will feature all his big compositions, “The Town I Love so Well”, “Ireland’s Call”, “My Boy” plus all of the Tranquillity favorites.
Phil Coulter, who holds 23 platinum records, 39 gold and 52 silver albums, is an astounding Irish songwriter, performer and music producer. Fifteen years and as many albums later, Coulter has accomplished coast-to-coast tours of the US, four sell-out visits to Carnegie Hall, royal command performances from Japan to Finland, three personal invitations from the President of the US to perform at the White House and much, much more.
To date, Phil has penned numerous hit songs for a variety of popular singers such as Cliff Richard, Dana, Richard Harris, Elvis Presley and the Bay City Rollers in the 1960s and 70s, and in the 1980s scored major successes performing his own material. He continues to be a popular performer in Ireland and around the world and his achievements highlight why his upcoming concerts should not be missed.
Tickets cost €35 and can be bought from Ticketmaster outlets nationwide or from the Royal Theatre box office. Doors open at 7.30pm.
