The Who - exposed The rollercoaster story of iconic British band The Who is being told in a new rockumentary which has been 40 years in the making. Amazing Journey: The Story of The Who tells how the group emerged from the London pub rock scene to become one of the greatest bands of its generation. Approached by film-makers Paul Crowder and Oscar-winner Murray Lerner in 2003, Daltrey and Townshend saw an opportunity to make a nostalgic, feelgood film that would not hide from the reality of the bands excesses and that ultimately saw two of its members die from drug abuse. Daltrey said: "The credentials of this lot were very good. They did the Bob Dylan documentary, it was out last year. "And from then on it is a matter of trust. You give them the keys to your archive. I did one interview and then I hope they have done a film that ultimately can give you a glimpse of our career but more than anything just entertain you." Using unseen footage of the band performing in London in the Sixties - containing interviews with Daltrey, Townshend, the late Keith Moon and John Entwistle - the two-hour documentary leaves no stone unturned when exposing the relationships between each of the band members and their attitudes to one another. __________________________________________________ Thank you for this Helen sounds like one worth going to see ;D. take care of yourselfs hugs Valxx
