Beasties want thingyer
(Wednesday September 19, 2007 04:26 PM) Jarvis thingyer, Lily Allen and M.I.A. are all in the frame to lend vocals to a new Beastie Boys album, they have revealed.
The New York City rap legends are considering making a vocal version of "The Mix-Up", this summer's instrumental-only release.
The trio of British acts have been approached about appearing on the project, explained Adam Yauch in a new interview.
"It would be kind of like a different version of the album, with a bunch of people guesting on it", he said.
Confirming reports of the three possible collaborators, Yauch continued: "It'll be interesting to see what they do with the stuff."
The Beastie Boys recently completed a brief European tour with a headline appearance at Bestival. Their North American dates conclude in Chicago later this month.
