Stones top Rich List
(Friday September 21, 2007 ) The Rolling Stones have topped Forbes' annual Musicians Rich List, after making just short of $100 million in the last financial year.
The rock legends recently brought the curtain down on their enormous "Bigger Bang" world tour, with a triumphant show at the O2 Arena in London.
The band earned $88 million in total, ahead of rap star Jay Z, who is second on the list with $83 million, after returning to the hip hop games with new album "Kingdom Come".
Elsewhere in the chart, it has been a lucrative year for Madonna, off the back of her "Confessions" world tour, and Bon Jovi, who complete the Top 5.
The new Forbes Musicians Rich List Top 10 is as follows:
